OF THE FARMS TAKING PART IN THE PROJECT.
3. ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF 120
PARTICIPATING FARMS.
A specific test or Ecodiagnosis model
has been designed for each subsector in order to carry out
a Diagnosis of needs, environmental impacts and savings
potentialities in participating subsectors:
- Preparation of food and agriculture products.

These diagnoses are made by assessing
the environmental aspects that have to be considered in
order to implement Environmental Management systems in agreement
with the EMAS regulation..
4. ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS
OF THE PARTICIPATING SECTORS:
4.1 ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM ON A
NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVEL IN THE AGRICULTURAL AND
LIVESTOCK SECTOR.
PTo identify common needs of the agricultural and livestock
subsectors to create group models with common needs in
these subsectors, the preparation
of environmental problem sheets by sectors has been addressed
as a basic tool to design test models.
· The following groups of subsectors from the
different sectoral organisations of the agricultural and
livestock sector has been carried out depending on common
environmental problems and needs:
- Agriculture
- Olive-oil mills
- Bees
- Poultry (Ostriches)
- Poultry (Chicken and hens)
- Wineries
- Rabbits
- Sheep-goats
- Sheep
- Cheese
- Salting-Drying areas
- Bovine
· The problems of each sector have been studied
and the farms have considered a single box model where
there are a series of inputs which correspond to the consumption
of resources and a series of outputs which correspond
to the environmental impacts generated by the activity.
· Within the inputs, the following have been considered
for each subsector:
- Supplies
- Power
- Water
- Specific problems
·Within the outputs, the following have been considered
for each subsector:
- Emissions
- Dumping
- Waste
- Noise
- Emergency situations
- Specific problems

DETECTED IN THE ASSESSMENT OF THE PARTICIPATING FARMS.
